About me
Vittoria Amati is a photographer, a writer and a long time scuba diver. In 1980 Vittoria begin her journalistic and photo collaboration with Italian magazines Il Subacqueo and Mondo Sommerso exploring the Italian coastal seabed and writing articles aimed to readers practising the sport of spearfishing. From the mid 80’s Vittoria focused mainly on photography working for travel, science and entertainment magazines producing reportages and portraits of personalities. The recent years marked a return to underwater photography. Here deeper knowledge on marine environment revised her opinions on the ills of spearfishing resulting in Hello & Goodbye Coral Reef book.
Vittoria was born in Rome to a family with artistic roots in the film business. Twice divorced, with a son and a daughter, she lives in London where she graduated in Politics and International Relations.
